Gencovery was born from a strong conviction: scientific data is a resource that is too under-exploited because it is inaccessible. In 2019, following the hospitalization of a member of his family suffering from cancer, Adama realized that access to patient data was a major health issue. He imagined a platform capable of reconnecting, liberating and democratizing access to this data in the service of research, innovation and services.
With Wassim, a longtime friend, Adama co-founded Gencovery. Since 2019, we have been developing a sovereign, ethical and open digital infrastructure to help scientists and institutions unlock the full potential of their data.

Our history and road map
2020 - Foundation
Gencovery was founded by two researchers in applied mathematics, graduates of École Centrale de Nantes (Djomangan Adama OUATTARA, PhD) and École Polytechnique (Wassim ABOU-JAOUDE, PhD). Gencovery is supported by the BIOASTER Technological Research Institute. We are incubated by SATT PULSALYS and by LifeHub Lyon (Bayer).
2021: First use cases and concept validation
Gencovery deployed a first prototype of its digital platform and signed a first contract with Bayer in Lyon (France).
Constellab™ is used in research and development to deepen the understanding of the biology of microorganisms, using AI and digital twins, in order to design safer and more effective crop protection products.

Ecosystem activated : structuring partnerships (clusters, business parks), customer workshops and collaborations with freelances/integrators to accelerate use cases.
Strengthened marketing : Community in the process of becoming a marketplace, a clarified website, publication of a white paper; refocusing on field sales rather than events.
